Measurement & Site Analysis

Design Review #1
- A meeting to review the conceptual design, including proposed layout and planting plans and suggested hardscape materials.
Purpose : Successfully identifying these essential aspects of the design establishes the general aesthetic and budget parameters of the design, which will be further refined to meet your expectations.
Deliverable : The conceptual initial draft of the Layout Plan.
Design Review #2
- A meeting to review the design development of the Layout Plan and the Planting Plan, based on discussions from the Design Review #1 meeting and to review an initial plant palette.
Purpose : Successfully honing in on the size and scope of the project, as well as the hardscape materials, will not only result in a design you love, but also a design that is financially feasible for you.
Deliverable : The detailed second draft of the Layout Plan and the Planting Plan. - Set date for Design Review #3, approximately one to two weeks from Design Review #2.
Material Selection Service
Assist in selection of material for the project, by accompanying the homeowners to local suppliers to compare and select the proposed materials. For the Gold Level, we will accompany the homeowners to five suppliers. Appointment(s) for material selection can be arranged for any of the following:
- Hardscape paving, decking, and retaining systems.
- Hardscape structures (trellises, fountains, pots, etc.).
- Outdoor kitchen elements (bbq/grill, countertop, fascia, doors, etc.).
- Plant identification (at a local nursery).
Design Review #3
- A meeting to review the design development of the Layout Plan and the Planting Plan, based on discussions from the Design Review #2 meeting, and to refine the plant palette.
Purpose : Successfully refining the selections of hardscape materials and finishing details, as well as suggested plant materials, significantly determines how close the final design will meet your budget expectations. Any necessary adjustments to the design can still be considered at this point.
Deliverable : The detailed third draft of the Layout Plan and the Planting Plan. - Set date for Design Review #4, approximately one to two weeks from Design Review #3.
Design Review #4
- A meeting to review the specific details of the Layout Plan and the Planting Plan, to review the Lighting Plan and address plan refinements prior to preparing the Master Landscape Plan.
Purpose : Successfully define all the details of the Layout Plan, the Planting Plan, the Lighting Plan, as well as all the specific hardscape and plant materials to enable a Landscape Contractor to provide a precise and accurate bid for the design.
Deliverable : The detailed fourth draft of the Layout Plan, the Planting Plan, and the Lighting Plan. - Set date for delivery of Master Landscape Plan, approximately one to two weeks from Design Review #4.
Master Landscape Plan
- Completion of the Master Landscape Plan, including necessary Construction Documents.
Deliverable : The Master Plan in 2-D and Construction Documents, if necessary.
Construction Services
- Recommend a suitable licensed Landscape Contractor and provide an extra set of Construction Documents.
- Accompany Landscape Contractor on pre-proposal walk-through of project.
- Review initial proposal and upon confirmation of its accuracy ask Contractor to forward proposal to client.
- Conduct pre-construction walk-through with Contractor to confirm layout plans.
- Visit site twice during construction.
