Dennis, the driving force behind Meadowbrooks Design Landscape is a lifelong naturalist who has had the good fortune of working in several aspects of landscaping. Early on in his career, Dennis worked at a Walnut Creek retail nursery where he learned about many plants and soils as well as the complexities of landscapes. Furthermore, he developed an understanding of how microclimates can impact each element differently due to the Bay Area’s varied climate.
The nursery closed in 1981, however, Dennis had built strong customer connections. He began working as a landscaping gardener for many of these customers. Many of these individuals subsequently turned to Dennis for help in creating beautiful, intricate gardens. As a result, Dennis obtained his contractor’s license and Meadowbrook Design, a landscape construction company, was formed.
Dennis recognized he needed to learn something early on in Meadowbrook’s existence. As a result, he engaged skilled specialists who instructed him on how to install irrigation systems and create patios, retaining walls, pools, outdoor kitchens, and other features that convert backyards into extended living areas appreciated by Bay Area homeowners.
